NRStudents - Grades 6 to 12
The Word, Worship, and Community are essential aspects of the students life. Students will be given the opportunity to participate in each one of these things and in turn, they will learn key principles in the life of a believer. Worship: Students will have the opportunity to worship through songs, serving, reading the word, and different activities. Not only will the have the opportunity to worship with other students, but more importantly, they will be encouraged to worship every day through how they live their lives (Psalm 100, Romans 12:1-2). Community: No one can do life alone. Everyone who is a Christian belongs to the body of Christ and needs other believers to encourage them, hold them accountable, and to help them to grow. Also, we often learn more from each other than a message or book. Students can connect with other students their age through Growth Groups. What is New River Students?
NRS is the weekly gathering of students every Sunday night from 6-8pm at the North Campus. Any student is welcome to come and be a part of NRS. It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from, or what you've done! All students are welcome!
We are committed to providing a place for students to study the Word, to worship, and to connect with other students.
Essentials of NRS
The Word: Whenever we meet together, the Word will be taught. We will study the Word made flesh, Jesus Christ, as well as the Bible. It will be taught through one of the student pastors, other pastors at NRCC, guest speakers, or activities. Often it will be a combination of multiple things. Regardless of the delivery, the Word will be taught to students in a way that helps them see that it is relevant to their lives. (Hebrews 4: 12, 2 Timothy 3: 16, John 1: 14)
