Do you have a "Great Date" story? Email it to marriedlife@nrcc.net to be posted here... ~Kevin and Holly Armstrong John often leaves me notes as a surprise to find when he leaves for work, this is a picture I snapped of one of the latest notes he left for me in our bathroom out of pennies from his pockets. Too cute. ~John and Erica Hicks
We arranged for a friend to come over and watch the two older kids so we could go see a movie (and we took the baby). The movie was sold out, but then we opened the Date Night packet and had fun answering the questions while we ran a few errands. (with three little ones, just going to the Dollar Store together without going down the toy aisle is considered a date!) After we went home and put the kids to bed, we grabbed our sleeping bag and baby monitors and snuggled on the hammock in the back yard. We enjoyed the time watching the stars together, just like we used to when we would hike and camp. So, despite being in a stage of life where dates are incredibly hard to come by, we still found quality time together. Look forward to our next date night.
We went on our date to Brio’s in Charlotte a few weeks ago, and had a great time going through the questions. We had our first “official” date at Brio’s in Ohio, so that's why we chose that restuarant. We laughed all night long talking about some of the goofy and fun stuff we have done and seen during our six years together (five of which were married). We stopped by Target to pick a few things up and to walk off some of dinner. Then we finished off with some Cold Stone ice cream. We had a great time!
